A Farewell to Luminaries: Embracing a New Direction
We are announcing the cessation of our Luminaries tier, a decision that has not been made lightly, as we have greatly valued the opportunity to create and share these specialized episodes with you. This transition will allow us to concentrate our efforts on producing high-quality, free episodes, which we believe will enhance accessibility and engagement with a broader audience. We appreciate the support and enthusiasm you have demonstrated during our Luminaries journey, which has significantly contributed to our understanding and exploration of various topics. While we will no longer be producing Luminaries episodes, we are committed to delivering one compelling free episode every two weeks, alongside additional content through our social media channels to foster continued interaction. We sincerely thank you for your support and look forward to your engagement as we navigate this new chapter together.

Foreign hello everyone and welcome to the Luminaries.
Speaker A:We're very glad that you're here.
Speaker A:This is a short episode and in some ways a sad one.
Speaker A:We're announcing this week that we're ending our Luminaries tier and will concentrate in the future on our regular free episodes.
Speaker B:And we wanted to let you know that we've really enjoyed making the Luminary episodes for you.
Speaker B:They've given us a great chance to delve deeper into some of the topics and the background sources that have underpinned the thinking in our main episodes.
Speaker B:They've given Mike and me the challenge of bringing something to you that's even more relevant and more insightful to you, our paying customers, than what we've put in the regular show.
Speaker B:And as I'm sure you all know, having a demanding audience in mind is a really good thing for a consultant.
Speaker B:So to be honest, you've been great for us.
Speaker B:But the uptake of the free episodes has been way ahead of the uptake of these Luminaries episodes.
Speaker B:And it's got to the point where we can't justify the time and the expense and the commitment of bringing out a whole separate stream of Luminaries shows.
Speaker B:So that's where we found ourselves.
Speaker A:Yeah, we realize that we're talking to you now, the people who've engaged with the Luminaries tier, and we want you to know how much we have appreciated and do appreciate the support and the listening that you've provided over the last five months since we started this journey.
Speaker A:We only wish there were more of you.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:So from now on, we are going to just have this one series of episodes which will be free to everyone.
Speaker A:Now, having a singular episode stream we hope is going to encourage more listeners to engage with the show and will streamline our research, preparation and production process that we go through.
Speaker A:It'll also keep us from that gut tearing decision every week of going, yeah, yeah, this is like extra, but we really want everybody to hear this too.
Speaker A:So after today, we will no longer be recording Luminaries episodes and we will be in touch soon about your subscription.
Speaker A:And as a thank you, we're going to keep the existing Luminaries episodes exclusive for a few more weeks so you can get as much as you can from your support for the show.
Speaker B:Absolutely.
Speaker B:And going forward from now, we'll publish one high quality free episode every two weeks.
Speaker B:And we've got some great ideas coming up for episodes that we think you'll love.
Speaker B:We're also going to make sure to cover the gap between the two weekly appearance of the shows that there's going to be something more going on for you to respond to in our social media channels.
